Popular Halloween costumes keeps changing from year to year, a lot influenced by all the rage movies and TV shows, music superstars, and well-loved cartoons. I thought it was only popular last year because Pirates of the Caribbean III came out. What are you going to be for Halloween?

Well, Pirates have always been popular kinda, There easy and fun Probably why. But, Im going to be A girl from the 50′s. I Rather want to have A white shirt with a leather jacket or a sweater with a huge letter on it for the shirt and a poodle skirt for the bottom, Or A Black and white polka dot dress with a red sweater and a poodle on it.

I was a pirate 2 years ago, and that year it was really popular too because Pirates of the Caribbean 2 came out, but it wasn’t because of the movie. It was because I found this cute costume that fit in with the Renaissance time outfit at target and I wore it to the Renaissance faire, but why let it go to waste? I wore it for halloween too.
This year I’m gonna be a gangsta, I’m out of ideas and i dont like buying costumes that much, plus im 14 so…all I have to do is look in my pajama drawer and there’s my costume!

Pirate costumes have ALWAYS been popular….has nothing to do with the movie. So have Cowboy, Princess costumes…..they don’t deal with Disney or Zorro…..for example. They are just ‘neat’ and kids love to pretend to be them.

Pirates will always be popular, maybe more so because of the trilogy but even without they will be popular. I know many people like another answerer whom wear costumes that they wear to Renaissance Faires. I have a wench costume for the renn faires that I tend to wear at Halloween. These costumes tend to be expensive and wouldn’t be fitting to sit in a closet 364 days out of the year.
